The name tells our story! When I ran my handyman business, I got calls from homeowners struggling with home emergencies like a flooded basement. Other homeowners had problems working with their insurance company … and I learned some techniques to get homeowners what they needed to make required repairs.
Then one day I was that homeowner who didn’t know how to fight the insurance company. I knew what was done wrong based on my handyman experience, I took thousands of photos, I worked with all sorts of contractors and finally put my house back together so you’d never know there was a flood.
This experience made me realize I had to share my expertise with homeowners going through similar situations. With help from the contractors who helped me along the way, this website offers tips based on my first-hand experience with a flooded (4 to 6 inches of water) house.
